RAMAYAN IS MORE THAN RAM RAVAN YUDH

Ram Ravan Yudh was important before independence as Saints would then invariably imply how Rakshas or invaders would be wiped out. But now we must know the real Dharm established by Ram and Sita
Ramayan clearly tells us that Ravan was not invincible. In fact it goes a step further and informs that Ravan would not meet his natural death but would be killed by a human and clarifies that Human includes Vaanars. NO, Shri Ram did not come as Avatar to kill Ravan
SHRI RAM CAME TO END ATROCITIES WHICH THE EARLIER AVATAR PARASHURAM COULD NOT END, EX: ATROCITIES ON FEMALES and VAANARS because of DHARM and DHARMIK PERSONS.

Ramayan is history; let us have no doubt about this. Our Sanskar are such that we respect and cherish the ideals established by Shri Ram and Mata Sita. We also accept that Shri Ram and Mata Sita were incarnation of lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi respectively. However, the biggest problem that the Hindu society is facing is the passive attitude. And that too, when we accept the ideals or Dharm established By Ram and Sita. What exactly is the reason behind this, we need to find out.

The first thing that we have to understand, very clearly indeed is that an epic of this magnitude, which is actually history of Treta yug is not written for one specific period or age. That means that history of such importance was and shall be used for a long period of time to understand and live according to the Dharm emancipated from this.

Let us understand this in a more practical way by following the history that we know.

During the early stage of Kalyug, or the Stone Age that we know of, there was little or no information of whether what is being told about Ramayan is history. Those people were only required to have faith in the version told to them by wandering Sadhus. And those Stone Age people had plenty of faith. They gladly accepted the version told to them. It was more in the nature of Bhakti that they accepted Ramayan.

Subsequently there was a period of development and growth. That was the period which boosts of Chanakya, the period when Hindus and Hindustan was revered and respected as a centre for culture, education and trade. This was the period which highlights how Dharm was used by Chanakya, in more practical and meaningful way than what is being propagated in India after independence.

Alexander, in spite of his best efforts and though winning some battles, could not hold on to the gains. And Chanakya did play an important role in this. He did not advocate Bhakti to fight with Alexander; he did not advocate TAP, neither Mantra Siddhi nor Pooja and Rituals, but succeeded by following Karma. Whether he used Vedas, Ramayan or Mahabharat is not important, the thing to understand is that he used diplomacy, deceit, and sustained efforts (Karma) to achieve the objective.

Unfortunately this did not happen during the last 1000 years when invaders were repeatedly attacking India, although, the setup was the same; every kingdom had a Rajguru who lived lavishly. These Rajgurus and their kings could not unite to fight, resulting in arson, looting and rule of invaders. This forced Hindus into submission. To save Hindus from mass conversion and extinction, Karma was buried by saints and Bhakti and rituals became the pillars of Hindu Dharm. This required REVERSAL after independence but that did not happen.

Let us first understand the difference between Dharm, Bhakti, Pooja and rituals. Bhakti, Pooja and rituals are there to ensure that one performs his Dharm religiously. Dharm is the physical performing part of the religion, i.e. KARMA. More details about the difference can be ascertained by reading the Post: DHARM and RELIGION.

It is important to understand that Hindus are extremely religious and spend lot of TIME and MONEY on religious activities. Yet they are not getting desired result as a society. The reasons are not difficult to ascertain. After independence, the Gurus are promoting Pooja, Bhakti and rituals, and of course Seva at Gurus place. NONE OF THIS CONSTITUTES DHARM. No one can go to HEAVENS by following this. The Physical performing part of the religion is DHARM. It starts from you and your home, and the work one does, with honest and sincere intent, for the progress of his family, his larger family and the society (one can say mohalla, sector, sub sector, area) in which one is living. This is DHARM. This and this alone can guarantee a ticket to heavens.

The history that we know as Ramayan is the historical details of efforts made by Shri Ram and Sita to do all this. But we have to understand Ramayan and accept that every important event in it would provide a Dharm. Sometimes two events clubbed together constitute Dharm. Agni Pariksha of Sita and her subsequent disownment is one such example. Here Ram asked Sita to undergo Agni Pariksha, but when as King, HE was asked to adjudicate on this issue; HE rejected Agni Pariksha, and RULED that such matters could be decided on the basis of physical evidence only. Ram established Agni Pariksha as an Adharm, providing females dignity, status.

The main reason for Lord Vishnu’s avatar as Shri RAM was to ensure:
  1. Societies accept and treat Vaanars as Humans
  2. Declare Agni Pariksha as an ADHARM
  3. Establish Ram Rajya.

ABOUT MY BLOG: One has to accept that Hindus, though, highly religious, are not getting desired result as a society. Female feticide, lack of education for girls, dowry deaths, suicides among farmers, increase in court cases among relatives, corruption, mistrust and discontent, are all physical parameters to measure the effectiveness or success/failure of RELIGION, in a society. And all this, despite the fact, that spending on religion, by Hindus, has increased drastically after the advent of multiple TV channels. There is serious problem of attitude of every individual which need to be corrected. Revival of Hindu religion, perhaps, is the only way forward.

I am writing how problems, faced by Indian people can be sorted out by revival of Hindu Religion.
